  • What does GrowthBuddy do?
    We find and interview the finest remote talent on behalf of businesses. If the business selects the candidate (i.e. the GrowthBuddy), the GrowthBuddy is employed by us and assigned to the business. The business simply pays a recurring monthly fee for the duration the candidate is assigned to the business.
  • How are you different from a recruiter?
    We go above and beyond just finding a candidate. Each shortlisted candidate undergoes our role-specific 5-stage interview process before their final round interview with the business. We employ the selected candidate and take care of the salary, tax and administrative hassle. The business simply pays a recurring monthly fee for the duration the candidate is assigned to the business.

  • Who makes the final decision?
    The business makes the final decision on which candidate they would like to work with. If the business is unsatisfied with the shortlisted candidates, we’ll continue to look for a suitable candidate.
  • How quickly can we have someone onboard?
    We aim to place a candidate within 3 weeks. However, depending on the notice period of the candidate or other extenuating circumstances, it may take us slightly longer.
  • Do the candidates speak fluent English?
    Each candidate has fluent verbal and written English proficiency. This is evaluated at multiple stages during the vetting process. You can rest assured that there’ll be no communication barriers!
  • Will the candidate work for me full-time?
    Yes! The candidate is an extension of your team and works full-time for your company for as long as you need them.
  • What time zone do they work in?
    Each candidate works your preferred business hours.
  • Can we interview and test the candidate ourselves?
    Once we’ve interviewed and shortlisted a candidate for your business, you’re more than welcome to interview the candidate before deciding to proceed with them.
  • Can we see the candidate’s CV?
    Absolutely! We share the candidate’s CV and a detailed feedback report from our 5-stage interview process.
  • What is the level of experience of the candidates?
    Most candidates have a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
  • Where are the candidates located?
    Whilst we focus on onboarding the highest quality candidate from all over the world, the majority of our current candidates are based in India.
  • Can the candidate work on-site?
    Yes, but the business would be responsible for all travel and relocation expenses.
  • What is your vetting process?
    Before we shortlist a suitable candidate for the role, we conduct a role-specific 5-stage interview process to evaluate their suitability. Video screening - we use this step to assess the candidate’s communication skills. Discovery call - a short call to discuss their previous work experience in more detail, assess their verbal communication skills and understand what they want from their next opportunity. Take-home task - a role-specific assessment to evaluate their technical, analytical and written communication skills. Technical round - a follow-up interview to discuss their take-home assessment in more detail and evaluate their technical competence for the role. Values fit interview - a behavioural interview to assess if their values are aligned with ours and if they’re likely to be a cultural fit for you.
  • How long does the vetting process take?
    It typically takes 3 weeks to find, vet and shortlist the candidates. The vetting part of the process takes roughly 2 weeks.
  • Is there a minimum contract length?
    No! Although we focus on helping businesses with long-term employment needs, we understand the risk associated with hiring someone new, which is why we offer a flexible monthly rolling contract.
  • Is there a success fee?
    No! There is no success fee, finders fee or any other hidden fees.
  • What if we don’t like the candidate after they start working for us?
    If you and the candidate aren’t a good match, we’ll do everything possible to find you a replacement within 2 weeks.
  • What if I’m unsatisfied with the candidate’s work and no longer want to use GrowthBuddy? Can I get a refund?
    In the unlikely scenario that you’re unhappy with the candidate’s work, we’ll be happy to issue you a full refund if you notify us within the first 14 days of the agreement. Once the 14-day period has elapsed, we will require a written notice depending on the length of the agreement elapsed.
  • What’s my notice period?
    Should you wish to terminate our agreement, you can do so by giving us a written notice based on the length of the agreement elapsed: 2 weeks' notice during months 1 to 3 of the agreement 1 month’s notice during months 3 to 12 of the agreement 2 months' notice for 12+ months
