Clessia K.

Social Media Coordinator

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of social media marketing experience with specific experience launching in brand new regions (e.g. in Chinese market). Most recently worked as Sr. Social Media Marketing Executive at Amber.

• At Amber, managed China's social media operations including WeChat mini app launch, coordinating cross-culturally for UGC content whilst maintaining consistent publishing across platforms and optimising performance through A/B testing.

• At RAPTURE EVENTS, implemented 360° marketing campaigns across digital, social, and offline platforms whilst managing multiple client relationships and ensuring timely project delivery with efficient feedback implementation.

👍  What we loved about them

• Impressive global experience: At Amber, she managed the Chinese market completely independently, setting up their social media presence from scratch. She navigated account verification, licensing complexities, and the sensitive nature of operating as an Indian company in Chinese real estate. She built a team by the end of her first year, proving she can work autonomously in completely unfamiliar territory and figure things out without hand-holding.

• Methodical and detail-oriented: She's meticulous about quality checks before posting – verifying alt text, location tags, hashtags, spelling, and watching reels multiple times before they go live. Her approach to creating tables for tracking content performance against pillars demonstrates organised, systematic work habits.

• Data-driven decision maker: She tracks engagement metrics, reach, and views systematically, then uses that data to figure out what's working and doubles down on it. She maps content by day of the week to see if timing affects performance, testing hypotheses rather than posting randomly. Her approach to balancing high-performing content with lower-performing posts throughout the week demonstrates understanding of audience fatigue and content mix strategy.

• Natural and confident communicator: She speaks confidently and warmly, explaining complex ideas in a way that feels natural rather than rehearsed. Even when put on the spot to write captions during the technical interview, she could articulate her thinking process clearly. Her communication skills would serve her well when explaining social media strategies to non-technical stakeholders or collaborating with designers and other team members.

ℹ️  Things to be aware of

• She's available to join immediately.

• She has predominantly relyed on tools like Hootsuite and Sked Social. Given the job description specifically calls out knowing Meta Business Suite well, she may require a short ramp-up period to onboard and get hands-on learning experience with Meta Business Suite.

• Whilst she's worked with a B2B client in the States during her agency days and managed LinkedIn for Amber, most of her hands-on social media experience seems to be with consumer-facing brands.

💁‍♀️  Where he may need support

  • Although he lacks extensive experience with LinkedIn and Bing ads, his proficiency in Google ads suggests a high adaptability to new platforms.

👩‍💻  Technical interview performance

Objective

This candidate was invited to a 60-minute follow-up interview to assess their technical capabilities in more detail. During this interview, we assessed their critical-thinking skills, technical expertise, and overall conversational skills.

Technical abilities

• Platform knowledge and technical execution [7/10]: Clessia demonstrates solid foundational understanding of social media platforms, though there's a minor gap in Meta Business Suite experience. What we appreciated was her candour about primarily using Hootsuite and Sked Social instead and her grasp of platform-specific content requirements. She clearly understands that TikTok needs bite-sized, fast-paced content whilst LinkedIn requires more elaborate storytelling, which tells us she's thinking about audiences rather than just pushing content out. We also liked her attention to detail around alt text, location tags, and cover images, plus her awareness of checking audio types for Reels and ensuring captions are error-free before publishing.

• Content strategy and audience understanding [8/10]: We really think Clessia shows genuinely strong strategic thinking when it comes to content planning and platform adaptation. Her breakdown of the engine oil launch across different platforms was spot-on – she understood that TikTok/Instagram need infotainment with hooks whilst LinkedIn requires achievement-based storytelling for business decision-makers. What really stood out was her content calendar exercise, which revealed solid marketing instincts as she structured launch content around awareness, education, and credibility-building rather than randomly scheduling posts. We also appreciated her understanding of audience behaviour, noting that trade professionals check social during breaks whilst DIY enthusiasts browse evenings and weekends. Her hashtag strategy felt thoughtful too, using a sensible mix of brand, niche, location, and generic tags with biweekly keyword research to stay current.

• Crisis management and problem-solving [7.5/10]: Clessia handled the negative comments scenario with measured judgment and practical thinking, which gave us confidence she's dealt with community management before. What we particularly appreciated was her understanding of the distinction between genuine complaints needing empathetic responses and baseless trolling that might warrant deletion. Her instinct to respond empathetically, move conversations to DMs, and escalate to customer support demonstrates proper crisis management protocol, and we liked that she wouldn't immediately delete comments as it can backfire. When we moved on to the PPE safety concern scenario, she understood the gravity of not posting content showing unsafe practices, prioritising brand reputation over hitting deadlines, which is exactly the judgment call we need someone to make independently.

• Analytics and organisation [7.5/10]:  Clessia demonstrates a proper data-driven mindset rather than posting blindly and hoping for the best. She tracks engagement metrics, reach, and views systematically, creating tables to map content pillars against performance to identify patterns. What we really liked was her approach to testing what works, doubling down on success, and balancing high-performing content with lower-performing posts throughout the week. She's clearly meticulous about quality checks too, verifying everything from spelling to hashtags to preview appearances. Connected to that, her understanding that you need to track performance over time and adjust strategy based on what the data tells you is exactly the right mindset.

Areas of growth

• We felt her answers sometimes lacked the depth and specificity that would really make her stand out. For e.g., she didn't mention aspect ratios, first comment strategies, or specific engagement tactics like pinning comments or Instagram Story poll stickers, which are fairly standard practices. We also thought her on-the-spot caption writing was decent but generic – she could benefit from developing more creative hooks and CTAs.

• She wavered a bit on the warning comment scenario, going back and forth on whether to delete or respond, when we'd ideally want more decisive action in real-time situations. Whilst her crisis management instincts are solid, we believe the actual systems around how she manages these situations could be more structured.

• She has a tendency to over-explain and circle back on herself, which means her communication isn't as efficient as it could be for quick stakeholder reporting.
